With hardly any money, a few actors, and a glass of water, he\u2019s following his long-time desire to tell a deep sea story and using hybrid filmmaking techniques.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\u201cIt\u2019s an exciting thing to pull off,\u201d says Jeffrey Morris, founder of production company FutureDude Entertainment and the writer behind Oceanus: Act One. There are people making sci-fi films right now by throwing tens of millions of dollars into visual effects. But we\u2019re showing that it can be done on a modest budget. Over the last two weeks, over 1.2 million views!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\u201cHere\u2019s the thing \u2013 most of us have seen the ocean,\u201d he notes. \u201cMost of us haven\u2019t gone to space, but we\u2019ve gone to the ocean. We\u2019ve swum in it, scuba-dived, or snorkeled. To find a way to bring that role to life, but in a futuristic context, I thought it would be more relatable to a broader audience than the typical space stuff we see.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
