Size increase with a decrease from 47\/100.000 to 42\/100.000 during those 10years the decrease is seen mostly in rural areas.\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-18cad20 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"18cad20\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Experts predict further shortage of 50,000 primary care providers (PCPs)in the next 20 years ...<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0d63809 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0d63809\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAs the general population lives longer.  We are seeing a significant increase in Arthritis diagnosis, Inflammatory disease with an expected 30 to 50% increase in RA disease in the next 15 years.\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1916129 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1916129\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>However most PCPs have neither the time nor training to adequately care for individuals with chronic pain conditions.<br \/>One obvious solution would be to refer patients to pain specialist. <strong>However there are only about 5,000 Pain Specialists in the US today &#8211; which averages out to one Pain Specialist For Every 29,000 Americans Suffering From Chronic Pain!<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bcf7bee elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"bcf7bee\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tNew Statistics show that more than 100 Autoimmune Disease fall into this category.<br>\n You can imagine ( during the Opioid crisis) the chaos when the State tried to take the PCPs ability away to write pain medication scripts for extremely ill patients! Sending everyone running to a pain specialist that were all ready over crowded with patients! \t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d90bcf5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d90bcf5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRheumatologist have not considered themselves to be a pain Doctor. Although pain is the most important symptom of RA. \t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-efb27b2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"efb27b2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\trheumatologist have focused on pain in the context of Inflammation\/ Immune mechanism.  Such as patients with related chronic pain conditions.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-deea6d0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"deea6d0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In 1997 an article was written in a leading rheumatology journal\u00a0<strong><em>&#8221; Fibromyalgia: scourge of humankind or bane of a rheumatologist existence.&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ee71589 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ee71589\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>You can see in the long term forecast \u00a0with the rheumatology health care shortages , it is likely that rheumatologist will be ever more resistant to taking primary responsibility for managing pain&#8230; A Question Has Been Posed:<strong><em>\u00a0Do you treat Fibromyalgia in your practice or refer back to PCP after ruling \u00a0out autoimmune inflammatory pathology?<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f6b4586 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f6b4586\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWhat it boils down to is &#8230; Taking time to evaluate these patients with chronic pain,<br>\nAnd that is a lengthy process for any physician and not many options for treatment.<br>\nToday Chronic Pain Management has not been  considered an important element of rheumatology practice.
