Dr Lanza received his Medical Degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, Rochester, New York in1988. Dr Lanza completed a General Surgery Internship and Otolaryngology Residency at the Downstate Medical Center- Long Island Hospital, Brooklyn, New York in 1994.

Dr Lanza is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a Member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery (AAOHNS).

Dr Lanza was selected to serve on the AMA Relative Value Update Committee (RUC) by the AAOHNS as both the Academy Advisor to the RUC and the RUC Member Alternate. He served from 2009-2018. During his tenure at the RUC, he served as the Chairman of the CPT/RVU Committee and member of the Medical Device &Drug Committee of the AAOHNS. He served on the Academy Physician Payment and Policy Committee from2009-2018. He is a member in good standing of the AMA, FMA, and past member of the ARS.

Dr Lanza is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Florida State University College of Medicine at the Fort Pierce Regional Campus, directly involved in teaching third- and fourth-year medical Students. He is also Clinical Instructor for the General Surgery Residency Program at HCA LawnwoodRegional Medical Center, Fort Pierce, Florida. He has served as President of the Florida Society of Otolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery in 2020-21. He is currently on the Executive Council of the FSOHNS as the President of the Network of Florida Otolaryngologists (NFO), a position he has held since 2021.

Dr Lanza has been serving the patients of the Treasure Coast since 1994. He has served as past Chief of Staff at St Lucie Medical Center, Board of the St Lucie Surgery Center, and President of the Okeechobee Surgery Center, He is the current President of the HCA Lawnwood Regional Medical Center Medical Staff and Chairman of the Medical Executive Committee. He has been recognized for his voluntary service to the HANDS Clinic of St Lucie County.

Dr Lanza is a current Board member for ENT & Allergy of Florida. The largest single Specialty ENT practice in the State of Florida. He also serv es as the Quality Assurance Peer Review Physician for ENTAAF.

He has been selected to be a Primary Investigator for numerous Clinical Trials investigating the role medical therapies, medical devices in the treatment of Sinusitis. The role of medical therapy for loss of smell, as well as sudden sensory hearing loss. The use of blood screen for the detection of head and neck mucosal malignancies.

Dr Lanza has authored multiple peer reviewed publications in General Otolaryngoly and has presented at the Annual Meeting of the AAOHNS.

Dr Lanza has been the recipient of multiple Awards. He was the recipient of the St Lucie Medical Center Legacy Award in 2009. He also received the NFO Physician of the Year in 2014. He has been named multiple years in the Castle Connolly Top Doctors in America by his peers from 2000 thru 2024.

Dr Lanza is in clinical practice of General Otolaryngology, with privileges at HCA Lawnwood Regional Medical Center. He has offices in Fort Pierce, Port St Lucie and Okeechobee. He is also on staff at numerous free standing surgery centers.
